This snack, Berrie Plunge, shouldn’t be called a junk food because it’s a healthy cereal snack. In fact it’s corn chips that are usually eaten at breakfast but this corn flakes is coated by sweet white chocolate and strawberry flavored which I think does not taste good if you pour it with milk if you plan to eat it at breakfast. So this can be categorized as snack and not as a breakfast cereal.

This is the first time I saw this flavor. Maybe it’s too ordinary to put peanut butter in these crunchy snacks. Regarding the taste, well the peanut butter is alright, not too sweet nor too salty. Just right to the taste in my opinion. The crunchy cracker is colored pale brown maybe because of the cocoa ingredient or just a food coloring.

This is a crunchy snacks filled with creamy cheese. Comparing it to Oishi, (I hope I remember the taste of Oishi Pillows cheese filled crackers) I think the difference from Jack n Jill Poppins is the flavor which is more sharp, the texture is smoother and there is a little cheese powder coating.

I only saw a small 35 gram pack in the supermarket but maybe there is a bigger one being sold too. This is a good strategy, experimenting if the market will bite into this so they sell it in small packs or maybe because of our economy, most people can only afford small quantities.

You can compare this snack to clover chips because I think you are more familiar with it than other snacks, that is, if you are a junk food junkie. The only difference is its much bigger and thicker than clover chips and instead of the usual cheese flavor, this one has shrimp flavor instead. The first time I ate it, it has a lot of MSG (Monosodium Glutamate) but today, when I ate it again, there is some change in the taste and the MSG not visible.

This new flavor of Granny Goose snack is the reason why I bought this. Maybe I was tired of seeing the usual corn chips, tortillas, kornets snacks and those were in the market a long time. I guess this flavor is new because this is the first time I saw Granny Goose has this flavor. The packaging is attractive and looks delicious but as they say, don’t judge a book by it’s cover. Anyway although I’m expecting of a real grilled pork taste and since these are only chips or crackers, it was close enough. It does really taste like the spices and flavoring used in grilling pork. Not spicy so kids will like it. The only thing I don’t like is I have to buy two or three packs to satisfy my craving because the quantity is only 35 grams. At least 50 to 60 grams is alright for me. For one thing, I was thinking what “Brew Bud” means. Upon reading the packing it says “It’s you fave drink’s best bud!” I think it means when you have a drink like a beer for example, locally it’s called “pulutan”, a food that paired with a drink (beer, wine or gin) usually pork, chicken or beef dish.
