Goya Crispy Chocs

Goya Crispy ChocsGoya chocolate has been with us for a long time. In fact during my childhood years this was my favorite. I remember when I use to raid our general merchandising store stockroom together with my little brother and chomp here and there. When my uncle found out that we have eaten the chocolates and candies, we are often scolded. The store was owned by my uncle and my father was a business partner so my mother, brother and sisters stayed there a lot. The name of the store is New Life Bazaar located in Kalookan City near the Municipal Hall. It’s gone for a long time now and what I know is there is a Jollibee branch there already.

Oishi Sponge Crunch Choco Snack

Oishi Sponge Crunch Choco SnackIf you like the taste of pillow snack made by oishi, you will love this definitely because of it’s rich chocolate taste and the crunchy sponge snacks which is truly crunchy and melts in your mouth. Since the flavor is very sweet, it makes my throat itchy. Not very good to those who are prone to tonsillitis but to others I guess this is a perfect sweet snack. To junk food foodies, this is a good companion while watching TV or movies or in front of your computer.

When I saw it in the supermarket shelf, I didn’t know that Champola is the trademark because it looks new to me. This is rice crispies covered with chocolate and forms little balls of lump when you see it outside the packaging. The taste is not too sweet and not too chocolaty.

Lemon Square – Munch Mallows

Lemon Square – Munch MallowsWhat I can describe here is that this is very similar to the choco mallows we use love. But the only difference is that the white marshmallow is sandwiched between two soft unsweetened chocolate cookies then coated with chocolate coating. The taste is good, not too sweet nor too bland.

Ricoa Curly Tops Milk Chocolate

Curly tops chocolate is one of our favorites since childhood (I mean to those you are in my age group) here in the Philippines. Since the previous decades imported chocolates are very expensive and there were not much in the market. Unlike today every grocery you go there were plenty of imported chocolates. Even though there were competition the name curly tops is still well known. The name looks like a foreign one but this is a Filipino chocolate. I hope we introduce this to out kids at least they will know that this is our childhood favorite and help our local industries. An with regards to taste, the chocolate flavor is unique. More on the milky side than the chocolate.
