Those companies making this junk food should be happy because I’m promoting their product for free and making a review out it. Hope they advertise here someday. Anyway this snack is nothing very special, just an ordinary chips like those sold in the market. It is very similar to shrimp crackers and clover chips but the texture is smoother and more crispier. The taste is also very good. Not too salty and does not contain a lot of MSG.

Maybe it’s not so new and been available months ago but it’s only today I saw this new product. The snack was prawn pumpkin chips. This suppose to have pumpkins or squash as the main ingredient. I was just wondering if pumpkins grow here in the Philippines or just a mistake calling squash as pumpkin. When I open the pack I thought the chips is similar to potato chips but it was not. I looks like prawn crackers because of its thickness and color. And with regards to the taste, I can’t tell the difference between prawn and squash. If you like squash, I think you will love it. By the way, at the back of the packaging I saw this: “ Product developed in support of the Inter Agency Group (IAG) Project on veggie-enriched snacks”.

Looks better on the actual product than the picture I got because I shot it inside the kitchen. The design is also attractive with the three animated stars on this package, the shrimp, the onion and the garlic. I was really curious if will taste as good as it looks so I threw one in the basket when I was in Parco supermarket. Just like the packaging at the back say, “Triple in Taste and Triple in Fun” and the taste compliments each other. I only bought a small 25 gram pack and thought to myself that this will be another of those kropeck snack. But when I opened and poured the contents in a bowl, what I saw is the colors were attractive and appetizing too. I’m also not disappointed with the taste. This is really a good try.

Nori is used for wrapping sushi, the most common dish in a Japanese restaurant. It is a dried sea weed which is pressed and dried and turned into sheets. What I mean about bigger is each cracker is bigger than the usual besides the packaging which is also big in size. The taste is also better than the ordinary ones. With a fish flavor but doesn’t have a strong fishy odor and with a little sweetness on each bite. I hope the company making this stuff gives me some incentive blogging and saying good things about their product (just kidding).

This stuff is similar to the usual nacho chips in the market but rather smaller triangular shape. I even bought the nacho broken to very small pieces. But in fairness, the taste is better than the ordinary nachos and maybe the description in the package that it’s a “Mexican Style corn chips and super crunchy” and “seasoned with loads of creamy nacho cheese mixed with a hint of herbs and spices” is true.
