Finn Fish Cracker

finn fish crackersThis is a very unique fish cracker I’ve seen maybe because of the packaging with a picture of sweet and sour red perch. This is one of my favorite dish so when I saw it on a grocery shelf, I hurriedly bought it. Thinking that it will taste like my favorite dish I’m excited to taste it. But I didn’t expect that it will be very spicy in my taste buds. Maybe those who like spicy food will enjoy this. Anyway it taste is similar to a sweet and sour fish with the fishy taste. It still passed my taste and I consider it a good buy and I really like the packaging design.

Big Catch Shrimp Crackers

big catch shrimp crackers
Just seeing the size of this shrimp crackers and the packaging design makes you think that it’s good to eat. Yes, when I tasted it sure is delicious and not spicy. You can eat a large quantity without getting fed up of the taste. Again, this is a great companion while watching TV or movie and since it is larger than the average shrimp crackers, it will take longer before you to ran out of it.

Nagaraya Cracker Nuts

sumo hoops
I think this cracker nuts need no more introductions because this has been a legend and a pioneer cracker nuts here in the Philippines. Maybe I’m wrong. Maybe there were already cracker nuts here since the Spanish regime but this one have been one of my favorites since childhood. During childhood days I was always in my uncle’s grocery store and I see this cracker nuts every time and munch on them whenever I have a chance of getting one. It’s alright with my uncle because I’m treated like his own son and besides, the store is also owned by my father ( he is a part owner). Anyway about the nuts, the crunchy crispy taste is excellent and the crispy peanut inside is better that any other cracker nuts I’ve tasted. The salty flavoring is tolerable and it is the taste why it became popular.

Eggnog Cookies

sumo hoopsThe package says “made with real fresh eggs”. I guess it’s true because it does taste like egg cookie that is why it is called an eggnog. It is tasty indeed because when I was just opening our fridge where I put this stuff and to my surprise my daughter is already munching the eggnogs. Great for snacks, watching TV or movies and its more healthier than salty and spicy chips. This is good too if you are having tea of coffee.

Bonus Pasencia White (Wheat Drop Cookies)

bonus pasencia whiteThis is one of the tasty baked goodies and snack I know so far. To describe it more accurately, it’s a drop cookie dome shaped on top and colored white. The taste is sweet and very similar to egg drop. Locally it is called ‘Pasencia’ which I think means ‘be patient’. I don’t know why it’s called with that name, I guess it takes too long to bake the stuff and you have to be patient to taste it.

Jack n Jill Presto Creams

jack n jill presto creamThis biscuits as I describe it, taste is just right to those who want a mild sweet biscuits. The filling is similar to peanut butter but a little salty not as sweet as the local peanut butter you have tasted. Great with tea or coffee if you are thinking of having a break or a snack. I like the packaging because it looks portable and can be brought anywhere. It can also be a good companion in watching movies or TV if you are avoiding salty or spicy corn chips.

Leslie’s Baked Cheezy Puffs

leslie cheezy puffsWhen you eat this stuff, it is very similar to cheese curls or better to compare it to cheese balls but this stuff is sweeter. It has a buttery taste and lots of cheese powder. The color of cheese powder is orange rather than yellow. The taste is quite O.K. specially if you are watching movies or at home being a couch potato. Also I read in the package “each serving of cheesy puffs contains about 1/3 of your recommended daily allowance for Vitamin A and B complex”. So that is why it took me longer to type all those ingredients.

Oishi Pillows Cheese Filled Crackers

cheese filled crackers This pillow crackers is the newest addition of Oishi Pillows from Liwayway Marketing. When we first glanced on it on the shelf (me and my wife), we thought this cracker is sweet based from the other filled crackers I’ve tasted so far. But when we opened it at home, and tasted it, only the cracker is a little bit sweet but the filling is salty, like cheese of course. So far when I became used to the taste it’s not really bad at all. It taste O.K. but should only be served as an appetizer.

Jack n Jill Tostillas - Nacho Cheese Flavored Corn Chips

jack n jill tortillas nacho chipsI think this is one of the hardest junk food to blog. Not because it’s an unusual corn chips, in fact there are dozens or hundreds of this kind in the market. Just a triangular shaped corn chips. The reason why I say it’s the hardest is because whenever I buy this thing from the supermarket, my daughter will immediately open this stuff to satisfy her craving. This is one of her favorite corn chips and often I told her to choose other type of corn chips but she always choose this one. I don’t know why because it doesn’t taste extra-ordinary to me. Just an average corn chips I suppose. But one thing I like with this is the crispiness and will stay long enough once you open it. The cheese taste is sharp, like cheddar cheese and not too salty. The picture below is just a stolen shot while she is eating.

Moby Caramel Puffs

moby caramel puffsNot very unusual because this kind of snack is common and other manufacturers have caramel corn curls too. But once you open the pack, you will see that the shape is not curled or any curl shaped corn puffs. The shape is irregular, maybe the manufacturer want to copy the popcorn shape but the taste is very identical to popcorn with a sweet caramel with buttery taste and crunchy too. I guess my hunch is right because on the package it says “No Hulls, No Hard Kernels, Melts in Your Mouth”. I noticed the color is not appetizing because it’s pale. It’s alright at least I won’t worry so much about the too much artificial coloring that some food manufacturers put on their products. It also says no MSG ( Monosodium Glutamate). That’s good. But come to think of it, who will put MSG on a sweet snack?
