Bong Bong’s Special Piaya
This one is one of my favorite. I think this can’t be considered as junk food because its more of a bread than a cookie or a biscuit. But since its ready to eat, then it might as well be under that category. To describe this snack, it’s very similar to the unleavened bread eaten by people in the Middle East. But the only difference is its harder and flaky, very close to a pie with muscovado sugar filling inside. Muscovado is raw sugar very close to molasses but lighter in texture and color. The shape is usually 4 inches in diameter and ¼ inch thick. This is one of the finest delicacy from Bacolod province here in the Philippines and all natural ingredients so it’s a healthy snack.
