I’m not fond of wasabi before until I tasted a wasabi flavored potato chips one day when I bought it for cinema snacks. I’ll make a blog about that in my next post but for the meantime I’ll focus my attention to this cracker nuts. As I’ve said before, since I’m not fond of wasabi, I use snub this in the supermarket. But when I come to like the nostril-stinging taste of wasabi, I tried this one to see if this will taste as good as the wasabi flavored potato chips. Unlike the potato chips, the taste of this wasabi flavored craker nuts is mild compared to the potato chips. The flavor is superb with the mild flavor of wasabi. So I give this cracker nut thumbs up.

This stuff is similar to the usual nacho chips in the market but rather smaller triangular shape. I even bought the nacho broken to very small pieces. But in fairness, the taste is better than the ordinary nachos and maybe the description in the package that it’s a “Mexican Style corn chips and super crunchy” and “seasoned with loads of creamy nacho cheese mixed with a hint of herbs and spices” is true.

This product really does taste like cream puffs but it was so small that you might mistaken it as cheese balls. Like what the label says it’s”Delicious combination of crunchy, melt in the mouth pastry filled with rich , smooth custard cream”.

I think this is one of the tastiest tortilla chips around because of the crispiness and thin nachos with a delicious barbecue flavor. Definitely this one is crispy unlike other Jack n Jill tortilla chips. I was looking for a bigger pack but only this size is available so I have to content myself for buying only one.

This is, I think is the sweet and spicy taste that suits my palate when it comes to junk food like this one. I have tasted a sweet chili fish cracker but it doesn’t come close to sweet and spicy, only spicy because of the chili pepper powder. The shape is round but smaller than the real squid ball since this is only a corn snack. All I can say is that this stuff taste good even though the packaging is not too attractive.

This spicy fish cracker is a tasty one but I must warn you that you don’t too much if your stomach can’t handle spicy food. No it’s not that spicy, just right to the pinoy taste. Unlike those spicy food coming from Thailand or India that I can’t tolerate the too much chili peppers they put on their food.

There are other makers of this product already and more tastier than this but just for the sake of curiosity I tried to taste this one. To describe this stuff, it is just barquillos or wafer rolls with polvoron-like substance inside. Polvoron is made from toasted flour and milk powder. If you are eating this stuff, try not to talk too much because you might cough if the powdery substance entered your esophagus.

You can compare this snack to clover chips because I think you are more familiar with it than other snacks, that is, if you are a junk food junkie. The only difference is its much bigger and thicker than clover chips and instead of the usual cheese flavor, this one has shrimp flavor instead. The first time I ate it, it has a lot of MSG (Monosodium Glutamate) but today, when I ate it again, there is some change in the taste and the MSG not visible.

This potato chip seems to be a new flavor made by Jack n Jill. It’s the under the category of ‘Pinoy Favorites’ in V cut potato chips. This one is kaldereta flavor. One of the famous Filipino dishes is the kaldereta. Stewed meat ( can be: pork, beef, goat or chicken) with tomato sauce and vegetables like potatoes, carrots, red bell pepper and green peas. The potato chip does taste like kaldereta specially if you are eating the potatoes of the real kaldereta dish.

This new flavor of Granny Goose snack is the reason why I bought this. Maybe I was tired of seeing the usual corn chips, tortillas, kornets snacks and those were in the market a long time. I guess this flavor is new because this is the first time I saw Granny Goose has this flavor. The packaging is attractive and looks delicious but as they say, don’t judge a book by it’s cover. Anyway although I’m expecting of a real grilled pork taste and since these are only chips or crackers, it was close enough. It does really taste like the spices and flavoring used in grilling pork. Not spicy so kids will like it. The only thing I don’t like is I have to buy two or three packs to satisfy my craving because the quantity is only 35 grams. At least 50 to 60 grams is alright for me. For one thing, I was thinking what “Brew Bud” means. Upon reading the packing it says “It’s you fave drink’s best bud!” I think it means when you have a drink like a beer for example, locally it’s called “pulutan”, a food that paired with a drink (beer, wine or gin) usually pork, chicken or beef dish.
